Cuisine Various
- ¾ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 3 tablespoons amaretto liqueur
- 2 peaches, pitted and thinly sliced
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- ¼ cup butter
- ½ cup white sugar
- 2 medium eggs
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- ¼ cup milk
To get started, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (175 degrees Celsius). Next, whisk together the flour and baking powder in a small bowl, then set it aside.
Start by blending brown sugar, 1/4 cup of melted butter, and amaretto liqueur until the sugar dissolves in a 9-inch pie pan. Afterward, arrange the peach slices in the pan and sprinkle them with pecans; then, set this aside. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat 1/4 cup of butter and white sugar until they achieve a light and fluffy consistency. Begin by incorporating the first egg, followed by the second, along with the almond extract. Alternate adding the flour mixture and milk, ensuring thorough incorporation. Finally, gently pour the batter over the prepared peaches and pecans.
Place in the preheated oven for approximately 25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center emerges clean and the cake achieves a golden brown hue. Allow it to cool within the pan for 10 minutes, then gently run a knife along the edges and invert onto a serving plate.
