Cuisine American
- 1 package (14.3 ounces) of Oreos
- 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
- 2 cups chocolate chips (half white chocolate chips, half semi-sweet chocolate chips)
- 2 tablespoons coconut oil
Use a food processor to crush the Oreos until fine crumbs are formed. If you don’t have a food processor, place the Oreos in a ziplock bag and crush them with a rolling pin or mallet. Reserve 1/4 cup of the cookie crumbs for topping the truffles.
In a large bowl, mix the crushed Oreos and softened cream cheese until fully combined. This may take a bit of elbow grease!
Take about 1 tablespoon of the Oreo-cream cheese mixture and roll it into a ball using your hands. Place each ball onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Place the baking sheet with the Oreo balls into the refrigerator for at least 1 hour to firm up.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 15-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
Take each chilled Oreo ball and dip it into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Use a fork to lift the truffle and gently tap it against the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
